Day 1: Chandigarh to Jammu – Gateway to the Pilgrimage

Your sacred journey begins as you depart from Chandigarh in the morning. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the plains of Punjab, passing towns and fields along the way. Arrive in Jammu by late afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, resting or taking a stroll through the vibrant local markets. Overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 2: Jammu to Katra – At the Foothills of the Shrine

After breakfast, check out and drive to Katra, the base camp for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage (approx. 50 km from Jammu). On arrival, check into your hotel and prepare for the trek ahead. You can spend the evening exploring Katra’s bustling bazaar, purchasing prasad and essentials for your darshan. Rest early to be ready for the divine walk. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 3: Vaishno Devi Yatra – The Sacred Trek

Wake up early and begin your 13-kilometer trek to the holy Vaishno Devi Shrine. You can choose to walk, hire a pony, take a palanquin, or opt for the helicopter service (advance booking recommended). As you ascend, feel the spiritual energy of the route, with chants of Jai Mata Di filling the air. After offering prayers and receiving blessings inside the sanctum, begin your return trek back to Katra. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 4: Return to Jammu – Relax and Reflect

After breakfast and some rest, check out and drive back to Jammu. On arrival, you may visit Raghunath Temple, one of the region’s most important Hindu shrines, and Bahu Fort, which offers panoramic views of Jammu city and the Tawi River. Later, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 5: Jammu to Chandigarh – Journey Home

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and start your drive back to Chandigarh. Arrive by evening, concluding your divine pilgrimage with Mata’s blessings and memories of devotion and peace.
