Day 1: Chandigarh to Amritsar – The Journey Begins
Your scenic getaway starts as you depart from Chandigarh in the morning, driving across the plains of Punjab toward Amritsar. Arrive by afternoon and check into your hotel. Later, visit the magnificent Golden Temple, a serene sanctuary shimmering in the water. Spend time soaking in its peaceful atmosphere and exploring the complex. In the evening, head to the Wagah Border to witness the energetic Beating Retreat Ceremony. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing – History and Heritage
After breakfast, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the poignant memorial commemorating India’s freedom struggle. Continue to the Partition Museum for a deeper look into the region’s history. You may also explore the lively Hall Bazaar to shop for Phulkari embroidery, traditional juttis, and Amritsari pickles. Later, return to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 3: Amritsar to Srinagar – Arrival in Kashmir
Post breakfast, check out and either board a flight or drive to Srinagar, the jewel of Kashmir. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel or charming houseboat on Dal Lake. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and taking in the breathtaking scenery. In the evening, enjoy a tranquil Shikara ride as the lake glows in the sunset. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar Sightseeing – Mughal Gardens and Old City
After breakfast, begin your exploration of Srinagar’s heritage. Visit Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, the beautiful Mughal gardens along Dal Lake. Continue to Chashme Shahi Garden, known for its freshwater spring, and Pari Mahal overlooking the valley. In the afternoon, explore the old city, stopping at Jama Masjid and Shah Hamdan Mosque, famous for their rich woodwork. Return to your hotel or houseboat. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 5: Excursion to Gulmarg – Meadow of Flowers
Today after breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, a scenic paradise carpeted in wildflowers and framed by snowy peaks. Take the famous Gulmarg Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak for panoramic views or enjoy horse riding across the meadows. You can also visit the historic St. Mary’s Church and the highest golf course. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 6: Departure from Srinagar – Farewell to the Valleys
Enjoy breakfast with views of the mountains and Dal Lake. Later, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your return journey to Chandigarh, carrying unforgettable memories of Amritsar’s heritage and Kashmir’s timeless beauty.
